On Rachel Maddow’s last show on Monday (Jan 6th), she brought up some interesting “monuments” that sprung up temporarily in various parts across the country. From a Trump statue that commemorares a lifetime of sexual assault, a VERY LARGE MONUMENT, a tiki torch representing Trump’s support of a fascist movement in Charlottesville, and finally, the poop emoji monument in Washington D.C.. The Poop Emoji Monument gathered the most attention, especially so with the oversized bronze poop emoji that sits atop a desk labeled as being Pelosi’s, representing the January 6th Rioters grosteque break in at the Capitol Building. It’s a no Brainerd that the monument is designed to elicit disgust, as the Riot itself was indeed very disgusting, and the very man that helped to start it and may pardon the Rioters will be sworn in as U.S. President in under 2 weeks.
