Just this last summer, Mike and I had a wonderful stay in Las Vegas at the Bent Inn, a boutique hotel with a 24/7 pool and bar that is located not too far Fremont Street. It is cleverly named after an adjective used to describe gay and queer folk, bent, hence the term straight for heterosexuals. Having the bar as the check-in area for hotel guests is just so queer and festive, and with a 24/7 bar and pool, there’s always a time for a drink or a dip. Sadly, the inn has actually bent over, having closed just before October this year in 2024. The reasons? This Lawsuits with their own contractor, which is said to have taken its financial toll forcing Bent Inn to close. I am sad to see they are gone, but this has turned my attention to the only other LGBTQ+ centric Inn in Vegas, Queen Bar. Maybe next time, Sin City.
