It follows the much, much larger-than-life journey of Lev Parnas, a Ukrainian-born hustler and former small-time mafia operator whose random, almost accidental association with Trump and Trump attorney Rudolph Giuliani took him around the world, and ultimately to prison. Lev reveals the ham-handed workings of the furtive campaign to dredge up false but damaging allegations against then-candidate Joe Biden. This is Rachel Maddow’s very first documentary film from her new production company. This is one of the projects, no doubt, that Rachel talked about undertaking when she left her regular, weekly prime time show on MSNBC. And for those of you who were wondering, the title of this film is a play on the title of the 1963 James Bond 007 movie: From Russia with Love.
