Rumors of OnePlus/Oppo folding on their foldables have circulated, especially from Android Central and Notebook Check, but is there any truth to that? First and foremost, in either article or their sources, there is no explicit evidence that OnePlus or Oppo will leave behind foldables. Instead, an obscure Chinese company is hinted, which could be numerous other companies such as as Xiaomi. It seems only 9to5google and Tom’s Guide believe the rumors are baseless for now. So far, there’s no good reason to expect Oppo or OnePlus to quit the foldable market: The OnePlus Open 2 is highly anticipated, and their foldables are simply in a league of its own. Even with Google and Samsung’s newest foldables, the OnePlus Open still has superior displays, the best battery life and charging capabilities, and top of the line multitasking (steal it already, competitors!). If anything, OnePlus would profit immensely from making a sequel to a foldable that is still the best.
