The Bear to Make a Difference Gala is our largest fundraising event of the year, celebrating individuals and organizations for their leadership and commitment to replacing hate with understanding, compassion, and acceptance. The event is an opportunity for community members, civic leaders, corporate supporters, and those passionate about erasing hate to come together to support the work of the Matthew Shepard Foundation, while honoring our partners, allies and advocates. Each year we highlight nationally recognized honorees through three signature awards – The Spirit of Matthew Award, The Dennis Dougherty Award for Community Leadership, and the Making a Difference Award. While the work of the Foundation will continue, this year will be our final gala. Please join us in this celebration!
