OnePlus usually launches its next generation of phones very close to the end of the year. This is usually because the next generation of Snapdragon processors launch in the fall (October), and they take a while to roll out. The Snapdragon Gen 4 releases this October, so it’s really quick that the OnePlus 13 comes out this same month. The October launch date, however, is for China; globally the phone always takes more time to be available for purchase. Nevertheless, it means we get to have an official, early look at the phone’s design. Many tech enthusiasts are eager for the 13 to depart from the “toilet bowl” camera island. It may even be possible for the 13 to make an awesome Christmas gift, should its global release take place a couple of months after October. Other than the 13 sporting the newest processor, it’s highly anticipated that the phone will receive a major battery upgrade; OnePlus phones already charge really fast, so an even bigger battery is all that more exciting.
