Energy drinks are convenient for a good jolt, especially when you don’t feel like making coffee or if you’re just not feeling coffee. But energy drinks also have a unique, distinctive taste, especially with the Original Monster flavor. Thing is, the calories are monstrous. Sure, Monster has had zero sugar/low calorie flavors, but they’re just not the original. Finally, Monster released a Zero Sugar version of the original in late 2023. But it seems to have taken a while for me to see high availability and reasonable prices of the zero sugar variant at Walmart. A single can of monster may set you back a little over $2 for a 16oz can, especially at a convenience store. But a 12 pack of zero sugar Original Monsters (16oz cans) can be picked up at $22 (at least via Walmart), well under $2 a can. Unleash the beast without the guilt! And try it as a mixer in cocktails! Monster mixes well with vodka, rum, even gin, and various whiskeys (I’ve had good luck with Jim Beam, Seagrams 7, and even Glenlivet). Just be cautious, as this combo may make you feel more sober than you actually are; be responsible!
